The User Guide Workshop:
Replace Personality Tests With Something That Actually Works
Your team is full of people who work differently. DISC knows that. Myers-Briggs knows that. And yet somehow, the solution they offer is to sort everyone into the same four or five boxes and hope that helps. It doesn’t.
The User Guide Workshop starts from a different premise: there is no default. Every person on your team — neurotypical and neurodivergent alike — is different from everyone else. And the only honest way to honor that is to let each person write their own instruction manual.
What Is a User Guide?
A User Guide is a personal document that defines exactly what someone needs to know to work with you most effectively. It covers how you communicate, how you process information, what energizes you, what drains you, how you handle conflict, and what you need to do your best work.
No profile assigned. No box to fit into. You write it yourself. When every person on a team does this, something shifts. The conversation stops being “who’s like me and who’s different” and becomes “how do we combine our different strengths to do the best work we’re naturally wired for.”

Unlike DISC or Myers-Briggs…
Personality assessments tell you what type you are. The User Guide Workshop asks you to define what it actually takes to work with you — and then uses that to change how the team operates together.
The results are specific. They’re useful. And they’re yours. Teams consistently report that the workshop reveals differences they hadn’t anticipated — even among people who’d worked together for years.
What You Walk Away With
Every team member leaves with a completed User Guide. The team leaves with a new shared language for collaboration.
The guides don’t sit in a drawer. They become active tools — used in onboarding, conflict resolution, project routing, and performance conversations. The workshop sidesteps formal diagnosis entirely: everyone participates on equal footing.
This Is for Teams That Are Ready.
Managers, team leads, and C-suite leaders inside organizations who see more potential than the current system is producing. Teams that have tried conventional culture initiatives and found them hollow. Leaders who want inclusion to be a lived experience — not a policy.
Neurodivergent and neurotypical. Every brain belongs here.
Frequently Asked Questions
The User Guide Workshop is a team-building and leadership program from Super Impactful in which every team member creates a personal instruction manual that defines how they work best. The workshop is facilitated by Super Impactful and produces User Guides that teams use for onboarding, collaboration, and culture-building.
DISC and Myers-Briggs assign individuals to personality categories or types. The User Guide Workshop does not assign categories. Each person writes their own guide, which means the output is specific, personal, and authored by the individual — not determined by an algorithm. No two User Guides are the same.
The User Guide Workshop is designed to include everyone. Because participants write their own guides rather than being sorted into categories, the workshop supports neurodivergent team members without requiring formal diagnosis or disclosure. All participation is on equal footing.
We offer workshop programs as short as 2-hours up to a full 8-hour day (with breaks). Programming for the User Guide Workshop can take place over a a single day or several months depending on the team size and needs.
Every participant leaves with a completed personal User Guide. Teams leave with a shared framework and language for collaboration that they can use immediately in onboarding, project routing, conflict resolution, and performance conversations.
